Xmas Gifts

Everyone, in all walks of life (Christians) are very busy thingking and doing things in preparation for the coming commemoration of the birth of Christ..

The usual Simbang Gabi or the Misa de Gallo, mostly are associated with "panata" to religiously complete the nine (9) evening or nine (9) early dawn masses in reparation of sins, preparing the way of the coming mesiah ? or for a wish to come true.. From wealth to health, to a properous longer life ..

All of those... could mean a Xmas gift ? to Him or for Us ? from Him or from everyone ? What really is, a Christmas gift ? God wanted us to step the right path of life, . by doing good and following His will is a gift for Him.. Offering in a form of things or money is not really for the inifinite being, but for those who are still living... living in agony..

Gift for the poor carolers care just a penny compared to the elite carolling groups... ,.. Ang pobreng manaygonay- gagmay ra pud ang hatag..Sinsilyo lang... ang de combo... pesos o linibo...

A Christmas Gift.. Bow ....

SOMA

EXECUTIVE MESSAGE FOR THE 13TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN

HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THIS AUGUST BODY

I cherish this very day to be with, the honorable persons of this municipality as I reminisce the years while I was with the Sangguniang Bayan as presiding officer of the repository steward of the Kialegnon"s desire, dreams and vision.

I always consider the Sangguniang Bayan as the active partner of my dispensation in running our municipality in the quest for development. Though we are didived by political differences (and I acknowledge this that could mean, a healthy sign that democracy is at work in this town) I am confident enough that we could meet at the center and be united in development issues.

I urge you Ladies and Gentlemen of this August Body, to be at my side in the pursuit of attaining our vision of development. Let us forget our political differences as we cannot allow that this municipality will be fulled down by too much politicking for there is no way for us to go down but instead, to go up.

In the first term of my dispensation, our local government was able to implement, counterparted in the implementation, and has just commenced the implementation of various infrastructure projects amounting to Php 16 million taken out of the local funds that includes to name some them: two mini-gymnasiums at barangays Malawanit and Kanapolo; Rehabilitation of farm-to-market roads at barangays Balnate, New Ilocos, San Isidro and Upper Bala; Water systems materials; ADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC MARKET BUILDING (PHASE 2)

We are also able to respond to the need of minimizing illiteracy incidence in the far flung barangays especially among the tribal sector by opening elementary schools in Upper Asbangilok and now in Lower Asbangilok catering grades one up to five, and we are destined to open another elementary school in Sitio Turan, Balnate.

Time is of the essence that we must set ourselves together to face the challenges ahead. Let us not allow incapacity to overtake our ability due to the differences that pose obstacle to our dream of development. Yes we are facing a gargantuan responsibility yet, we have so limited capability. But we are determined by the help of the Almighty God, to deliver excellence blow-by-blow responses to need of the times..

I thank you..

JESS L. LUMANOG
Municipal Mayor
